Richard Graham, RIMS-CRMP | Board Member

Richard P. (Rick) Graham is the Chief Risk Officer for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA).  Risk has over 30 years of experience in Risk Management, and Workers’ Compensation claims management.  Rick leads a team of professionals who manage all aspects of SEPTA’s Risk Management and Insurance Program, and administration of claims filed against SEPTA under the Federal Employee Liability Act (FELA).  SEPTA is the nation’s sixth largest public transportation agency, and one of only two transportation systems that utilizes all modes of commuter transportation (bus, trolley, subway, trackless trolley, light rail, and regional commuter rail).

Prior to SEPTA, Rick was the Director of Insurance and Risk Control at Crozer-Keystone Health System.  Rick has also worked as a risk management professional in the manufacturing, telecommunications, and retail.

Rick is a member of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Self-Insured Association (PSIA). Rick also serves as the President of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Risk and Insurance Society, and a member of the National Conference Planning Committee.  Rick is a founding member and a past President of the Greater Philadelphia Executive Claims Counsel.  Rick has been a speaker at the National Workers’ Compensation and Disability Conference and the National Risk and Insurance Management Society. 

Rick earned his B.A. in Political Science at Moravian University in Bethlehem Pa. Rick is a Risk and Insurance Management Society Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP).
